Representatives Mike Honda and Zoe Lofgren endorse Barbara Sprenger for State Assembly
September 24, 2007 - Representatives Zoe Lofgren and Mike Honda announced today their endorsement of Barbara Sprenger, a democrat running for the 27th District CA State Assembly seat.
“Barbara Sprenger is my choice for Assembly,” said Honda. “From organizing her community to protect our environment, to creating high-wage jobs by growing a successful green technology business, to fighting for the world’s best education for our kids as a school board member – Barbara Sprenger will put her experience to work for us in the California Assembly.”
Honda joins Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren in endorsing Sprenger at this early stage of the campaign.
“As working mothers, Barbara Sprenger and I learned from each other as we took care of our families while building successful careers. As elected officials, we’ve fought to improve California schools. I admire her as a community leader who organized her neighbors to protect our environment and quality of life,” said Lofgren.
“I have known Barbara since our children were little. I know she has real-life skills and common sense. She has a perspective that comes from community experience. It’s a real privilege to support Barbara Sprenger for Assembly. It’s not often that voters have the chance to pick someone like her who can bring a practical approach to the real challenges that we face in California.”
Reps. Honda and Lofgren add their names to a growing list of Sprenger supporters.
“I am deeply honored to have the support of both Congressman Honda and Congresswoman Lofgren,” said Sprenger. “Their leadership is inspirational, and their endorsement so early in this campaign means a great deal to me. I know their guidance and advice will prove crucial as I work for solutions in Sacramento.”
